I Need a Passport!
In addition to issuing passports to Pure and Part Bred Cleveland Bays the Cleveland Bay Horse Society is a DEFRA registered Passport Issuing Organisation. Many people do not realise this service is available to all horse owners whatever the breed, unless they are eligible for registration with a recognised Breed Society. A breeder verified pedigree can be included in the British Horse Passport, all forms are available to download from the website and a correctly completed application, which costs £20 can usually be administered within 10 working days.
Please remember that from 1st July 2009 all horses in the UK that do not currently have a passport are required to be micro-chipped. A Veterinary Surgeon can supply and implant the microchip and will also complete the horse/foal ID Chart for you.
