Congratulations to Andy Dell
Andy has been awarded a Doctorate by the University of Lincoln for his PhD Thesis "Genetic Analysis and Breed Management of the Endangered Cleveland Bay Horse"
He has shown that even in 1884 when the Breed Society was first formed there were issues with the Genetic Diversity of the Breed.
His work has brought into sharp focus this continuing problem that the Cleveland Bay still faces today.
We will be able to discuss with Andy and other eminent speakers at the Breed Conference in September the most appropriate strategies to protect the Cleveland Bay and map out a way forward.
