Royal Windsor Horse Show reults.

Royal Windsor Horse Show round up 03/05/25

Despite inclement weather, spirits were not dampened at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. Attendance was good and we would like to thank and congratulate all exhibitors, owners and connections for putting on a great performance for the spectators, which included HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.

 

Entries at Windsor Horse Show are for Pure Bred only and divided into In-hand and Ridden classes. Class 65 was the In-hand class and was divided into 2 sections. Section A was for animals 4yr old and over and Section B was for animals 3yrs and under. Class 66 was the Ridden class open to animals 4yr and older.


Results of Class 65


Section A 4yrs+(3 entered, 3 presented)


1st Tynedale St Osmund, an 8yr old gelding by Arena Big Ben out of Beamish Midnight Rose. Bred by Mary Ann Reay, owned and handled by Ashleigh Balderson.


2nd Cholderton Quidel, an 8yr old Gelding by Cholderton Icarus out of Cholderton Lyric. Bred by Henry Edmunds, owned and handled by Sally Tilly


3rd Kenley Oceania, a 7yr old mare by Holmside Applejack out of Affondale Taran. Bred by Lesley and Denis Orange, owned by Jackie Sparrow and handled by Allisia Startin


Section B youngstock.(6 entered, 4 presented)


1st Bahian Terminator, a 2yr old gelding by Wyevale Brayden out of Childrey Chez Black. Bred by Sarah Pomfret owned and handled by Emily Fisher.


2nd Knocksaul Dream Maker(last years winner), a 2yr old filly by Wyevale Boomerang out of Lindon Fides. Bred by Kate Lines, owned and handled by Tina Billingsley


3rd Scarholme Freya, a yearling filly by Wyevale Boomerang out of Shireburn Ava. Bred by Jackie Sparrow, owned by Abbie Sattar and handled by Jenson York.


4th Kenley Sovereign Supreme, a 2yr old gelding by Holmside Applejack out of Afondale Taran. Bred by Lesley and Denis Orange, owned and handled by Heidi Lorefice.

 

The Folds Challenge Trophy kindly donated and presented by Cecilia Delville-Lindsay was awarded to Bahian Terminator.

 

Best turn out and best gelding rosettes and prize money were very kindly sponsored and awarded by Rowena Scrimshaw. Tynedale St Osmund won both in Section A and Bahian Terminator won both in Section B.

 

Class 66 Ridden 4yrs +(6 entered, 4 presented)

 

1st Embleton Reel, a 4yr old Mare by Brackenbrae Somerled out of Embleton Tutti.  Bred by Matthew Stonehouse owned and ridden by Tracy Williams


2nd Wyevale Harry, a 12 yr old gelding by Wyevale Wot a Charmer by Adelaides Dancing Matilda. Bred by Karen Wylie, Owned by His Majesty the King and ridden. By Hayley Moore


3rd Hampton Court Inspector, a 6yr old gelding by Cholderton Ixion out of Kirkmoor Iris Flower.  Bred by Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, owned by His Majesty the King and ridden by Cmn L Perrett


4th Tynedale St Osmund, an 8yr old gelding by Arena Big Ben out of Beamish Midnight Rose. Bred by Mary Ann Reay,  owned and ridden by Ashleigh Balderson


Best turned out and Gelding prizes were awarded to Tynedale St Osmund. Thank you again for your kind sponsorship Rowena Scrimshaw.
